Icebreaker of the meeting: “If you can invent something that would better the environment, what would it be?” As before, we split into our respective subteams after the icebreaker! Here is what the Physical Design team worked on: 1. Each group went over their progress and plans for their own filter designs. Each group shared their filter techniques and their procedure for the trial runs! 2. We also discussed future plans and share with each other what we think will make a difference in our filters. 3. For the next 2 weeks until our next meeting, we hope to start actively bring our designs to life and collect data! Here is what the Chemical Analysis team worked on: 1. Item unboxing! Francisca showed us all the items that will be in the kits. 2. Finalized kit and testing details! We prepared for the trials next week and decided to pair up to test the constituents together. Check out the updates on the Excel sheet here! 3. Reviewed past reports! The shared folder with all past MidPac reports can be found here! 4. Francisca will be coming up to Davis on Friday to drop off the kits to everyone! Announcements:
There has been an adjustment to our constituents! We will be exchanging brownie mix with chocolate cake mix. We will no longer include tomato juice in our mix due to university shipment guidelines. Our next meeting will be 2/13/2021 at 7:00 PM PST! See you then! New members are always welcome :) We are also planning on updating our social media and wanted to make it more inclusive with our members! We will be doing officer, chemical team, and physical team spotlights for our audience to get to know all our hard working members! Also, please take any pictures when you receive your kits and/or filter materials so that we can post on IG about what each team is up to!
